ISSUES OF THE USE OF FOG TECHNOLOGIES IN THE IOT ENVIRONMENT
The Internet of Things (IoT) technology is rapidly evolving, expanding its coverage and penetrating deep into all spheres of activity. IoT connects various objects, including people, machines and things, to the information environment anytime and anywhere. This, in turn, has led to the generation of huge amounts of data. Along with the rapid increase in data volume, the generation rate is also increasing. Traditional information technologies, on the other hand, are unable to meet the requirements for data analysis, latency, mobility, reliability, and network bandwidth. The use of fog computing technologies can be considered a promising solution to solve these problems. In this regard, the article considers the application of fog computing technologies in the IoT environment. It analyzes the advantages of using Fog computing, its architecture and fields of application. Moreover, the article highlights existing problems in the field of fog computing (pp.80-90).
