Tibbdə informasiyanın ifrat artımını təyin edən faktorlar nəzərdən keçirilmişdir. Tibbi verilənlərin spesifik xüsusiyyətləri tədqiq edilmiş, elektron tibbdə Big Data fenomeninin mahiyyəti və onun potensialı müəyyən edilmişdir. Big Data tətbiqlərin sistemləşdirilməsi aparılmış, müalicə-diaqnostik və idarəetmə qərarlarının dəstəklənməsində onların imkanları göstərilmişdir. Tibbin inkişafı və transformasiyası kontekstində bu sahədə BigData-analitikanın üstünlükləri qeyd edilmişdir. Big Data-nın tibbdə istifadəsini məhdudlaşdıran çağırışlar göstərilmiş və onların tədqiq olunan sahəyə tətbiqinin perspektiv istiqamətləri qeyd edilmişdir. (səh. 9-29)
