THE USAGE OF THE INTERNET OF THINGS TECHNOLOGIES IN THE MONITORING OF OIL AND GAS WELLS

The article examines the possibilities of the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for easy, secure, reliable and fast data acquisition from the sensors mounted in oil and gas wells. The architecture of IoT technologies for oil and gas wells monitoring is analyzed, and the processes for data collection, transmission and processing based on this architecture are proposed. The article also presents the capabilities of wireless sensor networks to improve the safety of oil and gas wells, optimize operations, prevent problems and eliminate errors (pp.67-77).
